October 2, 2017 Leave a comment

The July Update for Dynamics 365 is now available for new trial sign ups and purchase.  We have been waiting awhile for this release, but good things take time – right?

Recently I did a blog post which summarised this release, you can find that post at the link below:

If you want to get your hands on a trial instance of the July Update, v9.0, then head over to the trial sign-up page below:

If you would like to sign-up for a Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement (orginally known as Enterprise Plan 1) then use the link below:

Note: this will default to Country/Region of USA. You can change the dropdown to your country of preference, which then will provision the instance in the nearest data centre to the country specified.  Also, you may notice the country is in the URL, so if you change this to the country of your choice, you will have a sign-up link defaulting to the country of your choice.

Enjoy the July Update, it’s going to be awesome!

Dynamics 365 – The Next Release – July Update (v9.0)

July 4, 2017 1 comment

Last week I joined the Dynamics 365 Executive Briefing sessions that gave us a glimpse of the next release of Dynamics 365. This release would also be referred to as the July Update for Dynamics 365. This release would be known as version 9.0.

From these sessions, I decided to collate a collection of slides as my HIGHLIGHTS of the content that was shared. Trying to condense 3 days of content was a tough ask. Therefore I added content where I thought it was relevant or quick to do.

Find below my highlights of the 3 day Dynamics 365 Executive Briefing.

You can download my Highlights PowerPoint slide deck using the below.

Dynamics 365 – Dynamics 365 Admin Role is here!

Yes, we finally have a Dynamics 365 Service Administrator role within Office 365 to administer Dynamics 365 instances, rather than using the current Global Administrator role. This is a great forward step by Microsoft for D365 System Administrators and will keep Global Administrators very happy!

The full TechNet article about this new role can be found here:
