This is a major remarkable day for Microsoft, customers and partners currently using or working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics AX.

This public announcement, in summary, Microsoft is working on a new offering called Dynamics 365 that will combine its current ERP and CRM cloud services into a single service bundle and include applications purpose-built for specific business functions.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is launched as a cloud service so it will not be available, as is, on premises or in private clouds. This is something important to note.

With Dynamics 365 scheduled to be available this fall, Dynamics 365 will include applications for business functions including financials, field service, sales, operations, marketing, project service automation and customer service. The applications can be independently deployed, allowing users to buy only what they need to support their business.

For those customers currently using Dynamics CRM online or Dynamics AX online, “Microsoft Dynamics 365 has been very specifically and carefully designed to be a seamless transition” as mentioned by Jujhar Singh.

There is a lot more to come over the next coming months, especially around the end of 2016. Watch this space. Exciting times ahead with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
