Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 – Add Sample Data

If you install Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 you may have no sample data. However, there is an option within CRM (and via the SDK) to add sample data for your demos, training or general learning with CRM 2013.

To add sample data to CRM:

  1. Navigate to Microsoft Dynamics CRM > Settings > Data Management
  2. Select option of Sample Data (from the list shown below)

DataManagement

Once you have selected the Sample Data option you will be presented with the dialog shown below

SampleData

Click Install Sample Data to add the sample data to your CRM system.

CRM will then install this data Asynchronously in the background. Message regarding this is shown below.

Now you will have the data within your system.

How to remove sample data?

  1. Navigate back to Microsoft Dynamics CRM > Settings > Data Management
  2. Select the Sample Data option as you did in the earlier steps

You will notice now the button has changed to Remove Sample Data.

Hope that helps you get the sample data installed.
